Apple Inc. has reportedly challenged retailer Woolworths Ltd. over a logo it says is too close to its own trademark.
The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has asked Australian intellectual property authorities to reject the Woolworths Supermarkets logo, which is a stylized W stylized that the Sydney-based company said is a leaf but also can be seen as an apple.
Woolworths is the largest retailer in Australia and New Zealand.
