Star Wars – Jedi-Con

Wow double Star Wars awesomeness in one day. This is just way to cool. Somehow I would expect this from the japanese and maybe the Canadians but never from my fellow german folk.

The Jedi-Con in Dusseldorf Germany is fast approaching next month (April 3-5), and the official event poster by artist Randy Martinez has just been finalized.

"The theme this year is "Star Wars Rocks," says Martinez, "and with The Empire Strikes Back's 30th anniversary, I felt it was appropriate to have Boba Fett shredding his Flying V guitar." Check out the poster below, which will be printed in an edition of 500 and offered at the con.

For more information about Jedi-Con, see our earlier coverage here, or head over to the official site here.

Star Wars – Boba Fett Awesomeness O Rama

Guy dressed as Boba Fett playing Zelda music in the subway. Not only does this dude dress up a boba fett but if memory serves me right he is busting out some Zelda tunes. I could be mistaken but it could be the windmill tune(Ocarina of time).

Lego Star Wars Awesomeness

Great White Snark brought the clip to my attention, and I begrudgingly have to agree with him that the camera angles and shots along are worthy of a real, professional movie, to say nothing of the remarkably smooth animation. Enjoy.

Hasbro’s New RC Flying Millennium Falcon

Hasbro’s remote-controlled flying Millennium Falcon is one of those items that, if you didn’t see the photo, you’d have to ask, “What do they mean, flying? As you can see, however, Hasbro designers had the inspired idea to replace the saucer-shaped hull of the Falcon with a propeller to make it fly, although at a speed a few points behind lightspeed. Here’s Hasbro’s catalog copy for the RC Falcon, which will retail for about $49.99USD this fall.

Han Solo once bragged that the Millennium Falcon made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs…and now fans can give it their best shot with the all-new Star Wars R/C MILLENNIUM FALCON! For the first time ever, the MILLENNIUM FALCON — the most beloved and iconic Star Wars ship of all-time — is available as an indoor flying remote control vehicle. Measuring an impressive 11 inches long and 8 inches wide, the largest flying Star Wars R/C to date is highly detailed, easy to fly and includes a charging controller and vehicle battery for up to five minutes of flying time.

Cat-Wars – Hello Kitty Star-Wars Rip-off

Lets enjoy this miserable piece of star-wars rip-off filth together. I came across this abomination last night while I was looking for a NCIS Super Bowl commercial that Kat was recommending.

Once again I made another impulse purchased on the internets. Yes a similar design to this was featured on threadless but the threadless one was crap. This one is far less busy and way more kickass :D

french star wars = fail

This is possibly the worse star wars ripoff I have seen in a very long time. This is clearly worse than the SW Musical and even the turkish re interpretation.

R2-D2 80 proof

It's an R2-D2 inflatable drink server. This thing is honestly so wonderful that I want to cry, since it takes a normal activity and makes it both nerdy and alcoholic. It's from Jakks Pacific and due out sometime this year, apparently. I'm thinking about buying one and just keeping it in my lounge, inflated and full of drinks just in case there is lack of awesome. That's not weird, right?
