Tis good to be a geek

Congratulations, nerds. The geek have inherited the earth, and now skinny, pale guys with thick black-framed glasses are all the rage. Which is great and all, but we really would’ve appreciated this kind of freedom back in our day.

See, whippersnappers, when WE were your age you got beat up for being a nerd. It was a horrid epithet spat from the mouths of jocks, hot girls, and parents. You couldn’t just saunter around declaring your nerd-hood. You’d get punched, wedgied, purple nurpled, or something even worse.

And now you kids just walk around like it’s no big deal. You’re HAPPY to be nerds.

We’re glad you enjoy the freedom we never had, but take a minute to remember your elders, who fought the good fight and endured
